Tuesday, June 18th from 9am to 5pm let’s keep the phone lines busy and let our elected representatives know that we don’t want Ohio to be a toxic dumping ground!
Rex Tillerson, Chairman of Exxon Mobil is presenting at the City Club. Perhaps attending and asking questions supportive of clean energy will help the environmental movement. You are welcome to register to attend.
FaCT is profoundly concerned about the recent "agreement" between frackers and so-called "environmentalists" to establish a "Center for Sustainable Shale Development/CSSD," which is to develop voluntary standards for the fracking industry to follow.
At minimum – where wells have been allowed – county and township officials should have emergency evacuation plans in place in case of emergency.
You are invited to participate in our larger FaCT meeting Saturday, March 23 in Hiram, at the Hiram Christian Church, 6868 W. Wakefield Rd., from 11 AM to 1 PM. FaCT works on preventing and stopping fracking.
On March 6 you are invited to go to Columbus to lobby your legislators and have fun at a rally! If you can’t make it down to Columbus, will you write a letter for us to deliver?
Among the letter writers were clergy and congregants of Jewish, Protestant, Unitarian Universalist and Catholic faiths.
Invite to drop in on our letter writing session from 11-2 Feb. 5, 2013. Join us and write letters to the media and legislators to voice concern over fracking and help make a good impact.
Come and join us in confronting–from a faith perspective–the problems that resource extraction, especially fracking, have been causing for communities and families in rural, suburban, and urban areas.
