Because of people like you, Save Ohio Parks has been able to complete tens of thousands of actions, reach hundreds of decision makers, and build relationships across the state.
None of that happens on its own. This year our you drove more than 1,600 of the 7,000+ public comments that stopped a wastewater permit that would have let data centers dump waste straight into Ohio’s rivers and streams. We put up a billboard near Salt Fork State Park that just says “Our Parks are Not Oilfields,” because they’re not. They’re yours, and mine, and every Ohioan’s.
But the nominations to frack our state parks and wildlife areas keep coming, and so does the work of fighting them. That work costs money, and it’s carried by people who show up. So I’m asking you directly. Join us Tuesday, September 8, at Forest City Brewery in Cleveland for Pints for Parks. Come have a drink, meet your neighbors who care about the same things you do, and hear from our team about what’s next in this fight.
When: Tuesday, September 8, 6:00-8:00 PM
Where: Forest City Brewery, 2135 Columbus Rd, Cleveland, OH 44113
Every ticket and donation goes directly toward our work holding state leaders accountable and defending Ohio’s public lands for generations to come.
Can’t make it but still want to support the cause? You can also chip in here: https://actionnetwork.org/ticketed_events/pints-for-parks-save-ohio-parks-fundraiser-cleveland/
Hope to see you there.
In solidarity,
